The Colorado Springs Indy covers story of International Women of Courage (IWOC) Award recipient from Nicaragua.

 CSWAC hosted Ms. Coppens for four days. Her visit was part of the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). After Coppens received her IWOC award in Washington D.C., she traveled to El Paso County, Colorado to meet with several organizations to learn about U.S. grassroot movements, democracy, and government transparency and accountability.
