COVID-19 Policy

The health and safety of our members, staff, and guests remains a top priority for the Colorado Springs World Affairs Council. We look forward to welcoming attendees to our speaker series and member programs and groups and are monitoring and responding to the latest information and guidance at the local and national levels.

In order to keep all persons as safe as possible, we are implementing the following guidelines and steps to mitigate risk of exposure at all Colorado Springs World Affairs Council programs:

• Proof of vaccination required for all attendees. Accepted forms of proof of vaccination include: physical vaccination card, digital photo of vaccination card (on mobile device) or a digital vaccine record. Guests will not be permitted entry without proof of vaccination. (Any medical exemptions must be cleared in advance with the CSWAC office).
• Limit to 6-person tables and social distancing measures where appropriate and possible.
• A CDC-approved face mask, covering mouth and nose, must be worn when indoors (except when eating and drinking).
• Coordination with any and all venues to implement protective measures such as social distancing and hand sanitization.

In attending you certify that you do not fall into any of the following categories:

1. An individual who currently or in the last fourteen days has experienced any COVID-19 symptoms;
2. An individual who has not yet received full vaccination;
3. An individual who believes that they may have been exposed to a suspected case of COVID-19; and/or
4. An individual who has not been cleared as non-contagious by state or local health authorities.

The risk of exposure to COVID-19 is inherent in any public setting or gathering. In attending, you accept the risk of possible exposure and agree to the aforementioned guidelines to lower and reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread.

These steps will go into effect December 1, 2021. This policy is subject to change and will be reviewed quarterly by the board of director of the Colorado Springs World Affairs Council
