In modern times, how can one man take control of a country and keep it in the family for going on 70 years? This is what Kim Il-sung, his son Kim Jong-il, and his grandson Kim Jong-un have done. The Kim family rules over a country that is not hidden away in the middle of Asia or Africa, but is face-to-face with South Korea, China, Russia, Japan, and the United States. The Kims have accomplished this feat by staying focused and playing on the weaknesses of their potential adversaries, at home and abroad.
