The National Intelligence Council’s Global Trends 2030 Report cites “impact of new technologies” as one of the key “game changers” in our world – whether technological breakthroughs can increase economic productivity to address issues such as a growing world population, rapid urbanization, and climate change. Erik Peterson has been at the center of these questions, working with and advising the world’s top business and political leaders.

Erik Peterson directs A.T. Kearney’s Global Business Policy Council, a strategic advisory service designed for the world’s top CEO’s and business leaders and remains a senior advisor at CSIS, where he sderved previously (1998-2010) as senior vice president, the CSIS William A. Schreyer Chair in Global Analysis and director of the CSIS Global Strategy Institute. Before joining CSIS, he was director of research at Kissinger Associates. He has served on several important advisory boards, including as a fellow of the World Economic Forum, and was named distinguished faculty associate in international business at the Smeal School of Business at Penn State and as a visiting scholar at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He has spoken extensively throughout the United States in 28 countries to corporate, professional, academic, and civic audiences. The author of several publications, he is completing a book on global strategic trends and their effects on governance structures. He holds a B.A. from Colby College, an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
