A Note From Board President Sky Foerster
Summer is nearly at an end … which means it’s time to renew your membership in CSWAC!
Renewing – and, if possible, upgrading – your membership is important … and here’s why:
Your Colorado Springs World Affairs Council is focused on strengthening informed conversation about the important issues facing us in this volatile world we live in.  And – partisanship aside (since we’re non-partisan) – you may have noticed that there is a lot of un-informed conversation these days about America’s role in the world!
We bring a range of speakers and a wealth of resources (check outwww.csworldaffairs.org andwww.worldaffairscouncils.org from our national association) to help us all understand not only the issues “out there” but also how they affect us “here”!
We are working to expand our outreach to secondary schools, colleges and universities in the region, as well as programs for and by young professionals – they are our future, in more ways than one!
And we have fun – Last week’s Pikes Peak WorldQuest 2016 at Penrose House was on August 19th … Food, Friends, Trivia, and FUN was the order of the day.
How do we fund what we do?  Membership dues from individuals and organizations are virtually our sole source of revenue.
So, if you value what we do … renew now and consider boosting your membership to the next tax-deductible level – silver, gold, platinum, diamond.  Each brings greater benefits to you!
If not you, then who?
Did I mention that we haven’t had a dues increase in almost a decade?
I’ve said it before … never before has it been so important that Americans have an informed and thoughtful understanding of this complex world.  CSWAC is the only organization in the Pikes Peak region dedicated to broadening our understanding of how we connect to the world.
