General Tom Lawson
Canadian Armed Forces Chief of the Defence Staff
Marcy Grossman
Consul General of Canada (Denver)

This Remembrance Day/Veterans Day Canadians paid special tribute to two fallen soldiers: Corporal Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent. Cpl Cirillo was killed Oct 22, while performing sentry duty at the National War Memorial in Ottawa. Just days before, WO Vincent was killed in a targeted hit-and-run that also injured a fellow soldier. Both incidents were the result of lone attackers – a grim, but not unique, reminder of a common threat facing both Canada & the U.S. Our nations are allies in the defense of North America, in NATO, and in Afghanistan. Canada is the U.S.’ largest trade partner, with imports & exports totaling over $700 billion.
General Tom Lawson is Canada’s senior serving military officer; prior to October 2012, he served as Deputy Commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command, Peterson AFB.  Marcy Grossman has been Canada’s Consul General in Denver since 2012; she previously served as Consul General in Miami, Deputy Consul General in Los Angeles, and Sr. Trade Commissioner in Dallas.
